Aniset 2-Spike Large Animal IV Administration Set
Large Animal IV Fluid Administration Set for delivering higher volumes of fluids to larger animal patients.
- ANISET L/A 2 SPIKE™ – Featuring two tubes, clamps, and insertion spikes for attaching two IV fluid containers at the same time
- Each set enables the administration of large quantities or lengthy periods of IV fluid to large animals, notably horses.
- Clear large bore tubing with a 4.8mm inner diameter and strong connecting components used throughout
Aniset: Features & Benefits
- Long single-vented spikes – For ease of insertion and high-volume fluid flow.
- Pre-threaded black reusable/adjustable plastic ties – Attach to suitable slots/holes in IV fluid bags for further security.
- On each delivery arm of both sets is a blue shut-off C-clamp that allows you to manage how many IV fluid containers are flowing at any given moment.
- Delivery arms are different lengths – Required for the fluids to be correctly gravity fed.
- Emergency Red C-clamp – For rapid shut-off of all fluids.
- Free 360-degree rotating pivot connector – Reduces the risk of tubes twisting and gives the animal more range of movement by enabling the set to rotate freely. It also makes unravelling the line a lot easier in the event that it happens.
Burette Chamber – DO NOT SQUEEZE THE CHAMBER TO PRIME
- Clearly marked with 1ml graduations – For accurate reading.
- Latex injection port — Allows for direct administration of additional medicine into the burette chamber.
- Blue capped air priming filter vent on the top of burette chamber – Open to the prime chamber and close as soon as priming level is achieved.
- Automatic red shut-off float disc – Helps avoid air embolisms. Additionally, reliable visual measurements of fluid contents within the burette chamber are possible.
Spiral tubing
- 65cm tightly coiled. Extends to 250 – 300cm when stretched. Allows the animal to move freely and walk around.
Inbuilt permanent memory of coiled tubing
- Allows for gentle extension and spring action recovery enabling recoil without tangling the tubing.
Blue Slide Clamp
- Accessible shut-off of fluids when required.
Screw flow control clamp and ergonomically designed red adjustment key
- Allows easy control of fluid rate.
Mane grip tie assembly
- Helps secure the set to the patient.
Distal ‘Y’ style latex free injection port
- For ease of administering additional IV medication.
Rotating male luer lock
- Allows for secure connection to an AniCath IV Cannula.
Fluid priming cap
- Allows the set to be primed, expelling all the air bubbles without losing any fluid keeping the treatment area and patient clean and dry.
